Among the many many birds we got to watch rather closely was this great white egret who landed on our roof:

Getting back to sharing my Sanibel Island photos from our early November stay there… Right by our cottage were several large palms. We had the windows open almost all the time, and the sound they make in even the slightest breeze is fantastic!

I don’t quite know what happened with “Auto Draft” being published weirdly and I am not even sure what it looks like for other people…
Anyway… during our stay in Sanibel we were on a bay and had a lot of birds to watch. After a couple of days, we decided pelicans are decidedly odd creatures.

Last month my husband and I went to Sanibel Island, Florida. We were there to meet up with his family and celebrate his mother’s birthday. Aside from one rainy day the weather was lovely and I took a lot of walks. On each one I saw lush vegetation like this.
